ZOGS TAKE FIRST GAME 4-1

PORTLAND, ME - In what can only be described as a battle, the ZOGS out muscled the Red Dogs 4-1 in the first of two semifinal games.  The first goal of the game was scored by ZOGS forward Andrew Bradford from low in the slot early in the second period.  Nearly five minutes later, with the same move from the same spot on the ice, Bradford roofed a shot past the Red Dogs goalie to make 2-0.  The Red Dogs didn't get on the board until second minute of the third period.  As a pile formed in front of the ZOGS net, a Red Dog slid the puck underneath the outstretched arm of ZOGS netminder Tim Dominick.  It would prove to be their only tally of the game.  The ZOGS purely dominated the third period through superior strength and conditioning.  From then on, the ZOGS first line of Gilbert, Carrier, and Gordon took control of the game by blocking shots and quickly turning them up ice for another two goals.  These same two teams square off again Wednesday night at 9:50 PM to decide who plays in the finals and who will be playing golf early.
