GILBERT AND BRADFORD LEAD ZOGS OFFENSE IN ROUT
PORTLAND, ME - It seems as though that valve job did the trick. Last Tuesday night, the ZOGS set a franchise record for goals scored in a game, as they bested Boulous 12-2. Leading the offensive outburst were forwards James Gilbert and Andrew Bradford each with three goals and two assists. In total, these two players were responsible for 10 of the ZOGS 12 goals. Also scoring for the ZOGS were Dave Whiting (2-goals, 2-assists), Rob Carrier (1-G, 1-A), Nick Gordon (1-G, 2-A), and Greg Perry (2-G, 2-A). Netminder Tim Dominick was largely untested in the game. The two goals scored by Boulous occurred on turnovers in the ZOGS defensive zone. Look for the ZOGS to continue this offensive explosion tonight as they try to exact revenge on MacDonald Page for their first loss of the season.
TRANSACTIONS: Forwards Dave Whiting and Teddy Stern were signed thru the remainder of the season.
NEWS OF NOTE: Greg Perry set a career best in goals scored (6) ... Nick Gordon tied a career best for goals scored (7) in a season and set a career mark for assists (7) ...
